David Denny's Trunk
WHEN I FIRST WROTE SWEETBRIAR, I had no idea it would be such a success or spawn a series of five more books. In my ongoing research I uncovered new information—handy eough for the book I was working on—but too late for previous books. Consequently, Louisa's story and that of Seattle, WA's, earliest days aren't fully told. Too, when I was writing Skagway, I illustrated some of the stories and people of 1898's Gold Rush. It was great fun, so I'm adding sketches to this updated and expanded edition of Sweetbriar so readers are reminded this is not just a romance but a real story of very real people.
